A REVIEW OF NORSE ORGANICS' ACNE KILLER ROUTINE
As someone who’s never had a 10 step skincare routine and is always looking to keep it super easy when it comes to looking after my skin, I was super grateful to be sent Norse Organic’s ‘Kill acne and redness ritual.
The ritual is made up of three parts:
Morning, 6 in 1 daily glow and moisturise
Acts like your normal morning moisturiser, however is more of a balm like consistency which melt onto your fingertip when applying.
Shower, premium face scrub
A face scrub which comes in a completely dry powder form. With dry hands you just take a pinch into the shower and mix with water, using as an exfoliant on your face.
Night, acne and redness killer
Again like the moisturiser, this product is a balm/wax like consistency which doesn’t need to used with water. You just take a small amount on your finger tip and add all over your face, focusing on any areas where your acne and redness may be particularly noticeable.
So I’ve been using this routine for around a month and thought I’d share how I’ve been finding it and whether I’d recommend it.
Firstly, the daily glow moisturiser; to start with I found it a little strange using a moisturiser in a balm form just being I’ve always been so used to using a cream. However, I was quickly surprised and impressed with how creamy it felt on my skin and how smooth it left my skin feeling. Just like the packaging promised, it also left my skin looking glowy and radiant.
It was super easy to apply as the balm simply melts onto your fingertip and glides seamlessly over the skin. A little certainly goes a long way with this product and by not overdoing it I didn’t get that sticky or heavy feeling that some other waxy products can sometimes leave.
Moving onto the face scrub, it takes a little getting used to compared to other similar products I’ve used on the market, as it comes in powder form to be mixed with water in the shower. I found it a little funny to start with and forgot to bring a pinch in with me to start with as I often work completely on auto pilot during my morning routine, however once I got used to it, I found it worked a treat! I actually really like using it in the shower as I feel it isn’t an extra step to my getting ready process. I love how natural the product feels and as someone with sensitive skin I have luckily not had any irratation which some other exfoliants have.
The acne and redness killer again has a super silky feeling on the skin and always feels so nice to out on just before bed. I am very lucky in the sense that I’ve never suffered badly with acne, so can’t really say how well it works on that front, however I do have some redness. I feel it’s too early yet to see any obvious changes however I love the way it makes my skin feel so am excited to see it’s more long term effects.
The brand's website does show crazy acne transformations - so if you have acne, rosacea or even eczema, it's definitely worth a try. They also have a 60-day satisfaction guarantee, so if it doesn't work for your skin, you can get a 100% refund!
Overall thoughts…
I love how easy and convinient this skinare routine is and has found it’s easily fell into place with my usual day to day. Although I was a little unsure about the products before using as they’re different to others I’ve tried before, they leave my skin feeling amazing and you can tell they’re made naturally and therefore aren’t harsh on the skin. This set is perfect for someone who often doesn’t have the time or patience to be doing a long and extensive skin care routine and needs somehting quick and easy that they can implement into their everyday.
In terms of results, my skin is left feeling smooth and fresh and I can see a noticeable glow after using these products (especially the moisteriser!) In terms of the more long term effects like getting rid of my redness I’m yet to see a drastic change however wouldn’t expect to this early on after using.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who’s wanting to switch up their skin care and try something easy yet effective.
